Macbook battery

One day I placed my Macbook (Macbook Pro Late 2013) on a desk and noticed that it doesn't sit right. The front feet were in the air. The swollen battery deformed the bottom of the laptop.

Ok so I ordered a replacement from ifixit.com. Also bought a kit for the repairs. The battery arrives pretty fast and it's time for disassembly of the laptop.

There wasn't much to remove, only the speakers had to be taken out. Also some connectors had to be disconnected.

The worst part was to unglue the old battery from the computer... Lucky me that I had a pair of strong hands to help me. After a while the old battery was unglued.

Below you can see the remains of the old glue.

Finally the new battery is in. And everything is working fine.
